Apologies for the late post. Fishing in the Cariboo this summer was one of the most epic to date for me. Finally located a lake we have been searching for years. Landed some large rainbows in still water and got into a lot of decent fish on the dry. In fact on two different occasions in the same hole we call Poo Island I hooked into my biggest on the dry . The first one broke off and the second one took me to an underwater snag and also broke off. The exciting thing about these fish was i enticed them with a couple of Nevada Brown trout mouse patterns.
This year seven guys over a period of 8 days fished four lake days and four river days. We even managed to hit the Thompson on the way home and Kirby managed to land a decent one on a hopper in one of our old steelhead holes.
Staying with our good friends on a farm is also an amazing treat and experience.

Can’t wait until next year!
